Brand: Wetwall
Wetwall, a product of Wilsonart Company, is one of the fastest-growing shower wall panel systems in North America — and Vanity Mart is proud to carry it. If you’ve spent years cleaning grout lines and are ready for a fundamentally better solution, Wetwall deserves your serious attention.
What Wetwall Is — and Isn’t
Wetwall is a rigid waterproof wall panel system specifically designed for shower and bathtub surround applications. It is not a vinyl wrap, not a stick-on film, and not a fabric panel — it is a structural system consisting of a high-performance decorative surface layer, a PUR panel adhesive layer, a solid waterproof core, and a high-performance bottom layer. The nominal thickness is about 10.5mm — comparable to ceramic tile plus adhesive.
Tongue-and-Groove Installation System
Wetwall’s patented tongue-and-groove edge system is what sets it apart from competitors. Adjacent panels click together at the edge, creating a watertight seam without requiring sealant at the joint. Sealant is still used at corners and transitions — but the critical seams between main panels are structural connections, not adhesive-dependent. A professional installer can typically complete a full shower surround in as little as two and a half hours.
Design Range
The Wetwall collection includes stone-inspired designs (marble looks, travertine, slate), solid colour panels, neutral and grey tones, and wood-inspired designs in Ash, Cherry, Elm, Walnut, and more. The designs are genuinely attractive — not institutional or budget-looking. Recent additions including Tuscany Marble and Darlington Cherry bring warm, high-impact looks that are difficult to achieve with standard tile at comparable cost.
Cost Comparison
Independent comparisons have found Wetwall panels cost up to 50% less than custom tile installation when total materials and labour are counted. The material cost is comparable to mid-range tile, but the labour cost is dramatically lower due to the faster installation process. For budget-conscious homeowners who want a high-quality, grout-free result, Wetwall represents excellent value.
Maintenance
With no grout lines, Wetwall maintenance is as simple as wiping the surface with a soft cloth and mild cleaner. There is no grout to re-seal, no grout to scrub, and no grout to replace. The surface is resistant to mould and mildew in a way that tile grout cannot be, because there are no porous seams for organic material to accumulate in.
